Lip Augmentation, Line Reduction, Wrinkle Treatments and Ways to reduce excessive sweating
Wrinkles are basically folds of the skin that multiply with age and are most common on the face.
At the Melbourne Cosmetic Group we offer men and women a fast, safe, non-surgical way to reduce unwanted facial lines and wrinkles, while maintaining a natural, more youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers essentially add volume to facial skin in order to reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles and scars. Dermal fillers can be used to enhance lip fullness, adding definition to the border around the mouth while filling annoying vertical lip (smokers') lines. Treatments can minimise or eliminate deeper creases between the nose and mouth when you smile and help to replace lost volume in the lower face region.
Injectable fillers are not for everyone, as not all facial wrinkles will benefit from the injections. Your skin type, skin thickness and degree of wrinkling are all important factors in determining whether anti-wrinkle or lip enhancing injections are suitable for you.
If you would like to learn more about dermal fillers and or lip enhancement treatments, please contact us to speak with our qualified and experienced staff, who can discuss your cosmetic options, goals, and expectations to determine the type of treatment that will benefit you most.

FAQ's
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are products that are injected into the skin to "plump up" or accentuate part of the face.
Why use Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are excellent in the treatment of static lines such as the nasolabial lines (lines from the nose to the mouth), oral commissures (lines from the corners of the mouth) and smokers' lines or fines around the mouth. Dermal Fillers are also used to augment the lip and enhance its appearance.
How do Dermal Fillers work?
There are a variety of Injectable fillers now available on the market. Which filler is chosen depends on the specific problem and area that you wish to have treated. Dermal Fillers are minimally invasive treatments made from natural or synthetic materials that are broken down and metabolised by the body over time. They are temporary and will need to be repeated, typically in three to 12 months (depending on the product selected). The good news is that if you don't like the results, they will eventually disappear.
Are Dermal Filling treatments safe?
Yes. Each year tens of thousands of patients receive Dermal Filling treatments for a wide range of conditions. Depending upon your specific requirements, you may need a small skin test to double-check if fillers are for you, but many treatments can be done on the day of consultation. At the Melbourne Cosmetic Group we do not use permanent filling agents.
What is the treatment like?
Dermal Fillers can give a dramatic and exciting result - usually instantaneously! The patient may need a local anaesthetic block if treated in the lips, but most of the time ice is used to numb the treatment area effectively.
Are there any side effects or complications?
Bruising can sometimes occur in the treated area. Some patients may also experience some unevenness in the result - it is very subtle and can be corrected once any swelling has gone down.
What results can I expect?
Dermal Fillers can "fill up" and "plump out" areas of the face that have become saggy and wrinkled due to sun damage and general ageing. They can give a "fresher" look and result in a more youthful appearance.
What are the limitations of Dermal Filling treatments?
Dermal filling injections are only a temporary solution for the treatment of lines and wrinkles. Depending on the product used, the results can last from three months to two years - however these can vary from person to person.
Wrinkle Reduction
At the Melbourne Cosmetic Group we offer men and woman an effective, fast, non-surgical way to achieve a smoothed, improved and more youthful appearance. A natural appearance is achieved by preserving normal expression while relaxing and softening unwanted lines and wrinkles that reflect ageing. Just one treatment brings about a noticeable improvement.
Facial ageing is determined by a range of factors, predominantly sun exposure, smoking, muscle activity and the genes you inherited. As we get older the skin loses its elasticity, folds develop and wrinkles form as a result.
An experienced injector uses a highly purified protein from a toxic bacterium as a temporary muscle relaxant to treat facial wrinkles (most often in the upper face - crow's feet, forehead furrows and sagging brows).
The treatment takes effect three to ten days after treatment. The improvement generally lasts for three to six months, before it gradually fades and the muscle action returns.
Anti-wrinkle injections are not for everyone, as not all facial wrinkles will benefit from the injections. Your skin type, skin thickness and degree of wrinkling are all important factors in determining whether anti-wrinkle injections are for you or not.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Have you suffered for years from excessive sweating in the belief that the only thing you could do was to keep applying anti-perspirant and change your clothes?
You'll be delighted to learn that this condition can now be successfully treated - by targeting the source-specific glands in the axilla (armpit).
A series of small injections are given in a grid-like pattern under the arm, effectively blocking the release of a chemical that initiates the perspiration process. The procedure is quick (about 10 minutes long) and involves minimal discomfort (a topical anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment). Best of all, results last an average of eight months!
